network of date palm bamboo strips entwined with raffia ropes, laid with burnt sugarcane reeds and enmeshed with straws, dried twigs and tissue paper over acrylic bond adhesive.
Background:
The rustic adaptation of twigs
and pieces of wood into cocoons by some insects show their aggressive and compelling
qualities. This fierce arrangement of forms creates a fantasy world of
connecting twigs that gives it its essence and uniqueness.
